... and our herd of horses

Whether you’re seeking to address anxiety, tend to unfinished business, work with traumatic patterns, find more emotional and energetic balance, get closer to your intuitive self, or simply find peace in a hectic world, our intentional time together on the land and with horses will support and enrich your growth, healing, and wellbeing.

This land-based intensive – held in Saanichton, which borders the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island – weaves together the healing and enlivening presence of horses in a transformative container of natural beauty, skillful guidance, self-discovery, direct experience, and growth.

Get out of your mind and into your body. Join Lisa Hartwick, MA (Psych), RCC, and Brooklyn Rae Grieg, Horse Expert, who know from years of combined expertise and experience, that the moment-to-moment meeting place between humans and horses creates profound shifts in how we live and relate in the world.

This course is now full. Join my waiting list to be notified if space opens up.

This retreat is for you if ...

… you want a nature-based depth experience in a beautiful place with horses, with enough time, skillful guidance, and relational practice to create real, embodied change in your life.

Your life force will improve, and you will find more balance through the richness of working directly with your life, with land, and the horses, who naturally help us remember our whole selves and touch into potential we may not even realize is there.

"I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in this program. It has been such a gift, that I am only just beginning to integrate. It helped me gain access to parts of myself I haven't seen for a long time and openings to new parts I think I might like to get to know better. With so much gratitude! <3"

"And thank you Lisa and Brooklyn for your warmth and kindness each week. I'm deeply grateful. You and the horses - each week I began to feel a bit safer - I left with an invisible horse security blanket wrapped around me."

Headshot

Lisa Hartwick

I am passionate about good relations and discovering elegant pathways through complexity. With over 25 years of experience as a therapist, my work is intimately informed by clients, teachers, and mentors over time, and my personal journey.

What fuels my work is a love for aliveness, depth, adventure, and the wisdom of the natural world, including horses. I divide my time between two very different, equally nourishing places: the remote, wildness of Tatlayoko Lake, BC and the beautiful city of Victoria on Vancouver Island. I regularly teach and supervise other therapists in Gestalt and equine therapy, and I am honoured to serve as international visiting faculty at the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies (GEIR).
